TrimSpa
Review
TrimSpa
Review - TrimSpa was just another diet pill until
the late Anna Nicole Smith
became the Trimspa spokesperson. Anna Nicole
Smith became the face of Trimspa after using Trimspa diet
pills in April 2003. She reportedly lost over 30
pounds and by fall of 2003, she reportedly shed a total of
69 pounds and credited the loss to Trimspa diet
pills.
The Anna Nicole Smith Trimspa
commercials and television interviews displaying a lighter
Smith instantaneously turned Trimspa into the latest in fad
dieting. Trimspa's two main ingredients are hoodia -
an appetite suppressant - and glucosamine, which helps keep
glucose in the bloodstream longer. It also contains
chromium, an anti carbohydrate craver. To help you feel full,
glocomannan is used as well.
There are also a variety of
TrimSpa products to choose from. They include X32,
Trimspa Energy, Ultra Formula's and Metabospa. There is
more caffeine in the Energy blend, and the others are pretty
similar to the X32. The Ultra has more grapefruit extract
in exchange for the
caffeine. What We Like
About this plan? The product is now ephedra
free. While researching on their website you will
find that the company doesn't provide many details. But
the results are impressive. Trimspa has a large
advertising budget, and plays up its ordinary diet
strategy. This diet has made men and woman into
models sizes in only a matter of a few weeks, after years
of being obese. Whether they are
believable, is another story, but a great marketing
ploy.
What We Dislike About This Plan? There is no exercise or food plan to
follow in the bottle or on the website. It is expensive,
about $48.00 a month. Trimspa no longer
individually lists the
ingredients. There is no way of
knowing how much of each ingredient is in a single Trimspa
capsule. In
addition, Trimspa contains food dyes and additives, making it
not so natural after
all.
How Healthy Is this
Plan? Again,
there is not much healthy about taking a pill to lose
weight. TrimSpa’s side effects include insomnia, anxiety,
heart palpitations, chromium toxicity, and
migraines. Trimspa contains
naringin, the compound in grapefruit that can interfere
with the metabolism of many common prescription
drugs. The label on the
Trimspa bottle doesn't properly caution about potential
drug interactions.
Some of the drugs that interact
with naringin
include:
Another interesting note is that the arthritis supplement
glucosamine in Trimspa.
Trimspa says that
glucosamine prolongs the amount of time glucose stays
within the bloodstream after eating. In others
words - glucosamine may enhance blood glucose,
potentially degenerating glucose tolerance and this is
good for weight loss? TrimSpa will be selling us
the BrooklynBridge next.
Here’s The Bottom
Line
What TrimSpa left out
during a huge marketing frenzy was thatAnna Nicole Smith
reportedly took six pills day, which according to the
label is the maximum recommended dose of Trimspa.
But that wasn't all she took. She also noted to the
press she took a "colon cleanser" laxative that keep her
"on the pot all the time" and went on a calorie
controlled diet, confessing that it wasn't just the
Trimspa diet pills that made her lose weight.
TrimSpa is not a magic pill, and the website results may
be highly unlikely.
