Mariah Carey Diet Review

Strip That FatMariah Carey Diet Review  In the spring 2008, Mariah released her album E=MC2 and broke Elvis' record, but she also told the media how she lost 20 pounds to be in the best shape of her life.

After a friend courteously told her she needed to lose weight, then a size 8, she hired a trainer from St. Barts, Patricia Guy, to work with her full time in  New York as both fitness trainer and nutritionist.  She chose to make a lifestyle change, rather than just dive into a quick weight loss diet.  Mariah says "The biggest reward is feeling pretty, feeling sexy, and feeling good."

Last year, the singer first confessed her "bleak" diet consisted of "basically soups and fish prepared really blandly."Mariah says that she eats foods that have been prepared blandly.  The cost is really up to you. There is not a specific program to enroll in or a book to buy. The cost will come from the groceries and a gym membership.

What we like about this plan
Mariah lost about 32 pounds in four months.
The plan includes lean proteins.  The diet makes exercising a priority.  It is excuted by a nutritionist.  The plan also removes fats and oils from diet.

What we dislike about the plan
Heavily supported by full-time trainer and nutritionist, which is a serious financial commitment for most people. Diet or not, everyone needs some flavor to be able to stick to a diet. There is no website or a book to follow Mariah’s plan.

How Healthy Is This Plan
She supposedly has a personal trainer/nutritionist, so one would assume it is a healthy lifestyle plan.  However, like many other fad diets, Mariah's Bleak Diet appears to be a quick resolution without any long-term support.  It's possible that anyone pursuing this diet would not be able to follow it for long as the food is flavorless, bland and would you leave you with impossible cravings for tastier foods- healthy or not.  Many diets offer delicious, flavorful foods within the plan and provide longer-term benefits.

Here’s The Bottom Line Celebrities like Mariah Carey dress themselves in the bodies we would love to have.  We often forget the great resources accessible to these stars- like hiring full-time trainers and nutritionists as Mariah has done.  We also forget that for most of the stars, a cramped schedule juggling work, soccer practice, preparing dinner for a family and errands doesn't resemble theirs- meaning they have far more time to dedicate.  That's not to say there aren't positive rules from Mariah Carey's diet that you couldn't implement into your own lifestyle.

Tips like removing fats and oils when cooking, incorporating water exercises and drinking mostly water are all things that most people could introduce to their own healthy living routine.  However, for the long term goals of us ordinary people, there are much better lifestyle plans to choose from.
